All the World's a Stage Postcard

Hello and hope you're staying well! Just want to share my latest postcard made with Lindy's Gang goodies, a couple of stamps, and a stencil.

I started by stamping the (Around the World) Stamperia Stamp onto the top right corner with (Jet Black) Archival Ink.

The next step was adding Prima Black Gesso to the (Steampunk Man) Stamperia Stencil. Then I smooshed and painted it all in several layers, starting with Lindy's Gang Sprays (Cafe Au Lait and Golden Doubloons), Magical Shakers (Antique Gold, Antique Bronze, and Bratwurst Brown), and Squirts (Beaver Tail Brown and Poutine Gold). Once it all dried, I reapplied the stencil and used my finger to apply Finnabair Metallique Wax (Vintage Gold) over the black gesso, and (Bronze Age) to the edges.

The curtain rod was embossed with Lindy's Gang (King Midas Gold) Embossing Powder onto black cardstock, with the main image representing the curtains with all of the folds of her dress, fussy-cut from a magazine. To create a spotlight, I painted the center with (Poutine Gold) Squirts, and embossed over it with LG (Clearly Clear) Embossing Powder.

I printed out the quote for the April Mini Challenge at More Than Words to use the word "All", and finished the edges with Finnabair Metallique (Vintage Gold) Wax.

     Thanks for looking!

Spring Bonnets Postcard

No social distancing here, as these ladies step out in their Spring bonnets, stamped on this mixed media postcard!

The colors came from the fantastic April Color Challenge at Lindy's Gang.

I started by adhering torn strips of white tissue paper and napkins onto my postcard with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. Then I embossed the floral border on the left, with Lindy's Gang (Clearly Clear) Embossing Powder, along with the flowers on the bonnets, after stamping the ladies with Ranger Archival (Jet Black) Ink.

The clear embossing appears once you add color, like the Lindy's Gang Sprays (Hottie Patottie Hot Pink, Tibetan Poppy Teal, and Urban Amethyst) that I used straight from the bottle with a paintbrush, to reveal the white background. I did about 3 to 4 coats, waiting for each to completely dry, before adding another.

The flowers along the bottom were made with white gesso applied to the Tim Holtz Mini Stencil (Bouquet from Set 47), and after painting, reapplied and embossed with Lindy's Gang (Purely White) Embossing Powder. I also used (Purely White) EP on the dimensional flowers that were layered and finished with pearl micro beads.

White lace was the finishing touch, added to the bottom of the skirt and dresses.

Thanks for looking, and stay safe!

Let It Snow ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

I've always wanted to make postcard art, and what better time than the new year for trying something new! So I created this winter scene featuring stamps from Red Rubber Designs, and lots of embossing.

The background was done with a layer of white gesso, and colored with Lindy's Gang Sprays (Cafe Au Lait and Tiffany Blue), along with Squirt (Banff Blue). Then I splattered it with LG Spray (Frozen Jack Frost). The Snowflakes and snow were embossed with my new Emerald Creek Embossing Powders (Marshmallow and Blizzard), along with one of my older ones (Mirror Platinum).

The main image was stamped with a permanent blue ink, and embossed with LG (Clearly Clear) Embossing Powder using the Twinkle in the Eye Stamp.

Finally, I finished it up with some strips of "Let it Snow" ribbon, adhered over the Postage strip, embossed with Emerald Creek (Blizzard) Baked Texture.

     Thanks for looking!
