Prima Marketing Golden Coast Art Journal ~ FotoBella DT

Have you seen the beautiful Prima Marketing Golden Coast 8 X 8 Essentials Bundle from FotoBella.com? I made an art journal page to showcase this fabulous collection, in addition to one of the ATC's I previously made with it.

I started by adding scraps from the Golden Coast 8 X 8 Paper Pad, and spraying them and the background with Distress Spray Stains (Blueprint Sketch and Broken China), along with Lindy's Gang Spray (Tiffany's Blue).

Taking inspiration from the DREAM ATC, I embossed more netting with the Prima Finnabair Net & Wire Stamp using Ranger Distress Embossing Powder (Brushed Corduroy).

     Added some Chipboard Stickers.

And finished it up with Prima flowers and greenery (Camarillo and Sunset Beach)!

Unfortunately this is my last post for the FotoBella Design Team Team, due to worsening chronic health issues. I'll still be creating, but at a much slower pace. Thanks for your visit and support!

Prima Marketing Golden Coast Mini Album ~ FotoBella DT

Hey everyone! I'm back with this mini album made from small paper bags, featuring the Prima Marketing Golden Coast 8 X 8 Essentials Bundle from FotoBella.com. It's been years since I made one, but this beautiful, beachy collection was perfect to highlight my last trip to California. Looking forward to going back in a couple of months!

The sand was created with the Dusty jar from the Prima Marketing Rust Paste Camouflage Set.

I just love the texture, and added some small shells among the flowers and chipboard pieces!

All of the paper edges were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, including one of the Journaling Notecards peeking out of the pocket on the left.

The wood planks were stamped with the Prima Marketing Old Town Stamp using Archival Ink (Potting Soil).

Then I added the ship's wheel and some screws made from paper clay using the Finnabair Mechanica Mould. They started out with a coat of Dylusions Paint (Ground Coffee), followed by Art Alchemy Paints (Rustic Brown and Magical Pond), and finished with touches of Prima Marketing Patina Effect Paste (Blue).

Some of the flowers and leaves got the golden touch with (Vintage Gold) Prima Marketing Wax.

I didn't mind trimming down the papers from the 8 X 8 Paper Pad to fit this 6" X 6" album.

Thanks for looking, and shop FotoBella.com to get the Prima Marketing Golden Coast 8 X 8 Essentials Bundle

Every Leaf Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Today is not only the first day of Fall, (which is my favorite season), but also my sister's birthday. So I made her a card featuring the Every Leaf Unmounted Stamp from Red Rubber Designs.

I painted the background, leaves, and around the card base with Dylusion's Paints, spritzing the background with water to create an ombre effect. The small and large leaves are both included in the Every Leaf Stamp.

All of the embossing was done with Emerald Creek (Burnt Copper Leaves) Embossing Powder, including the medallion.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped with the Sophisticated Sentiments Stamp.

Thanks for looking, and enjoy the Fall!

Lindy's September Birthday Card

Since sapphire is the birthstone for September, it inspired the blue in this card made with Lindy's Gang goodies!

My entry for the Lindy's September Color Challenge!

I started with a TCW stencil and some Prima black gesso, adding color with Lindy's Sprays (Afternoon Delight Denim and Magnolia Magenta Gold) and Magicals (Danny Zuko's Denim and Yodeling Yellow).

The same colors were used on the flowers and leaves, stamped and embossed with LG (Black Forest Black) Embossing Powder. Then I used LG (Hollyhock Scarlet Plum) EP around the card edges.

Since I didn't have the right shade of the blueish purple color from the mood board, I combined Magicals (Danny Zuko's Denim and Polka Purple) mixed with some water, and (Urban Amethyst) Spray, to create a bluer hue.

The sentiment and stitched circles were stamped with (Jet Black) Archival ink, and embossed with LG (Midnight Violet) EP. Finally, I finished it up with some sequins.

Thanks for looking and stopping by!

Teal and Copper Birthday Card

I just LOVE teal and copper together, as shown on this card, colored with Lindy's Gang Magical Shakers, Spray, and Embossing Powders!

My design inspiration came from Sketch #223 at Feeling Sketchy.

The background was stamped with the Salvage District Prima Stamp, before adding white gesso to the TCW (Mini Raven Mosaic) Stencil. After drying, I spritzed it with some water, and added Lindy's Gang Magical Shakers (Guten Tag Teal and Aged Copper) along with Treasure Island Aqua Spray. Then I went over the stencil work with Metallique Wax (Rich Copper).

The clock was stamped with the Tick Tock Stamp from The Artistic Stamper, and embossed with Lindy's Cleopatra's Copper and Midnight Copper Embossing Powders, also used on the brad and sentiment. The clock hands were embossed with LG Black Forest Black EP.

For the Cup of Tea for your Art Challenge at A Vintage Journey, I used a cup of hot tea, which I never drink anyways (lol), to lightly dye the natural twine wrapped around the clock, the card edges, and the butterfly, where I also painted some Guten Tag Teal Magical Shaker. The body and antennae was embossed with LG Cleopatra's Copper EP.

I finished it up with some small copper rocks and shells.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Place ATC

The beach has always been my happy place, as shown on my latest ATC! I still have high hopes of living there one of these days, even though it's not likely. Lol!

I started by covering a regular playing card with white gesso. After drying, I stamped the waves with Archival Jet Black Ink, using the Bye Bye Stamp from Emerald Creek. Then I heat embossed the colors, starting on top with Aegean Sea, Dusk, and Lime Baked Velvets. The white on the waves was done with a Versamark Pen and Soft Fallen Snow Embossing Powder, also used over the twine. It made a pretty cool effect on one of the waves, and almost looks like a splash. A mermaid perhaps?

The sand was stamped and embossed using Dirty Sand Baked Texture. Then I embossed the sentiment onto a piece of vellum with Onyx Frost EP, and finished it up with some shells.

     Thanks for looking!

Orange Blossom Tag

Instead of lemons for National Lemonade Day tomorrow, I made a tag full of oranges!

I was completely inspired by the August Mood Board for Challenge #8 at Splashy Mix Challenges, from the colors, flower, wood, and obvious oranges!

I started by transferring the large oranges, cut from a magazine, with Prima Soft Matte Gel. I only applied it to the tag and didn't use enough, so it wasn't a successful transfer, and I almost threw it away. But I liked the distress look of it, and the faded colors became vivid again with some watered down Dylusions Paints (After Midnight, London Blue, Pure Sunshine, and Squeezed Orange).

To the older Petaloo flower, I added a silver flower charm.

I used Finnabair Stamps for the background, embossed with Emerald Creek (Onyx Frost) Embossing Powder. The small white flowers were embossed with Lindy's Gang (Purely White) Embossing Powder. Then I added some silver beads to the centers.

To make the oranges, I punched circles from white cardstock, and embossed them with Lindy's Gang (Oktoberfest Orange) EP. While the powder was still hot, I used the end of a paintbrush to make the white dots, and popped a couple of them up for dimension. The crate of oranges, cut from a magazine, is there to catch all of the oranges falling from the tree. Lol!

The hole and edges of the tag were embossed with Emerald Creek (Mirror Platinum), and tied off with some ribbons.

Thanks for looking!
