Best Dad Ever Layout

For my Dad's birthday a few month's ago, he just wanted a photo with all of his kids. So I scrapped it for him for Father's Day, using an older Bo Bunny line (The Avenues) with some Prima Rust Pastes.

I took my design inspiration from this beautiful Sketch #375 at Sketches in Thyme

The hexagons were created with the TCW (Chickenwire) stencil, using Prima Marketing Black Gesso. Once it dried, I applied Prima Marketing Red Rust Paste and Mint Patina Paste. Then I stamped the background with the Bo Bunny (Rough It Up) Stamp.

All of the clocks were fussy-cut from the Bo Bunny (The Avenues) paper.

The cogs and gears were embossed onto black cardstock using The Artistic Stamper (Tick Tock A5) Stamp with Emerald Creek (Mirror Gold) Embossing Powder. After fussy-cutting them, I applied more Rust and Patina Pastes.

The other embellies, like the screws, were made from paper clay with the Finnabair (Mechanica) Silicone Mould. I painted them black, applied some Prima (Vintage Gold) Wax, and more Rust and Patina Pastes.

The title was done with the Bo Bunny (The Avenues) Chipboard, and like the rest of the embellies, received Rust and Patina Pastes. Then I used some old stickers for the date.

     Thanks for stopping by!

I stamped and embossed the sentiment and stitching with Emerald Creek Embossing Powders (Green Topiary and Spiced Candy), using the Bo Bunny Stitches Stamp for the stitching.

Here's another set of cards that I made vertically, all mounted on white cardstock.

All of the stamps were fussy cut from the Bo Bunny (Christmas Collage) Papers, and the edges finished with Distress Inks (Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap).

Poinsettia Day Card ~ FotoBella DT

Hello and happy National Poinsettia Day! This beautiful plant dates back to the Aztecs, who used it to produce a red dye, and called it Cuitlaxochitl, meaning "star flower". To honor the passing of Paul Ecke Jr., who is considered the father of the poinsettia industry, the House of Representatives created this day in 2002. Associated with Christmas, I made a card with some Bo Bunny (Christmas Collage) papers from FotoBella.com.

The poinsettia stamp was fussy cut from the Bo Bunny (Christmas Collage) papers. Then I covered the edges with Bo Bunny Stencil Paste (Gold).

I also covered the rest of the papers with Bo Bunny Stencil Paste (Gold), and applied it to the Tim Holtz Mini (Poinsettia) Stencil.

Button Day with Bo Bunny (Land of Wonder) ~ FotoBella DT

Hello and happy National Button Day! I'm so excited to be posting my third annual project for the FotoBella Design Team, celebrating this special day dedicated to BUTTONS! This year I dug into my own stash, to create this mixed media piece made from cardboard and the Bo Bunny (Land of Wonder) I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com

I love recycling pieces of cardboard, but especially the circles, like the large one used here, saved from a frozen pizza! The smaller one was left over from a set of pans, and both started with a coat of Prima Marketing Black Gesso. Then I glued red, black, and blue buttons to the rim of the larger circle, along with some FotoBella Vintage Charms. Next, I covered them with a light coat of black gesso, so the original colors could show through. After it dried, I highlighted all of the texture with Prima Marketing Metallique Waxes (Bronze Age and Vintage Gold), and finished the edges with some red fiber.

The smaller circle was given additional texture with Prima Marketing Patina Effect Paste (Blue). Then I added dies from the Noteworthy pack, rubbing the edges of the center one with Metallique Wax (Vintage Gold). To resemble a button, I added some large grommets with my Crop-A-Dial II Big Bite, strung with some black and gold fibers.

I overlapped part of the key die cut with the bottle, onto the larger circle, adhering it with some pop dots.

The other key comes from the Layered Chipboard. Then I finished the edges of the smaller circle with some black and gold fibers.

Thanks for looking, and shop FotoBella.com for your Buttons and the Bo Bunny (Land of Wonder) Bundle

National Homemade Cookie Day ~ FotoBella DT

Grab a glass of milk because today is National Homemade Cookie Day! I love cookies so much my mom used to call me a cookie monster when I was young. Lol! But now I only like homemade ones, so I decided to scrap a photo of some lemon sugar cookies that I made, using the Stamperia Lemons Stencil and the Bo Bunny Serendipity Paper Bundle from FotoBella.com.

The title was cut with my Cricut Expression, and given a coat of Yellow Stickles to match the sugar on the cookies. Then I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink with my Blending Tool around the edges of the background leaf paper, before machine stitching it.

The leaf border on the green paper was stamped with the Prima Marketing Garden Fable Stamp using permanent green ink.

Then I applied Prima Marketing White Gesso to the Finnabair Doily Stencil, smooshed with some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, to place my cookies on.

I also applied Prima Marketing White Gesso to the Stamperia Lemons Stencil, let it dry, and reapplied the stencil again to color with Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Paints (Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, Fresh Lime, Cut Grass, Dirty Martini, Black Marble, and Melted Chocolate).

Finally, I tore a page from an old dictionary with some lemon words on it, and inked the edges again with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. Then I gave it a light coat of white gesso, adding the flower from my stash.

Thanks for looking, and happy National Homemade Cookie Day!

1st Birthday Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss Layout

Do you have a little princess in your life? The Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss I Want It All Bundle combined with Gold Stencil Paste from FotoBella.com is all you need to scrap your own diva, like this page I scrapped starring my adorable niece.

The frames were cut from the back of the "peace" paper. Then I punched the sides of the "joy" sheet, adding Gold Stencil Paste to the edges, and along the strip of the "charm" paper.

The Gold Stencil Paste was also applied to the one, from the Chipboard Thickers. Then I embossed "birthday" with Ranger's Sea Foam White Embossing Powder, onto a banner piece cut from the back of the "euphoria" sheet.

Finally, I used one of the crowns from the Royal Stencil Set, included in the Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss Bundle, to apply more Gold Stencil Paste.

How Sweet It Is ~ FotoBella DT

Do you have a sweet tooth? Because today is National Ice Cream Day! In honor of this day, I created an art journal page for the FotoBella Design Team, with my Bo Bunny Sweet Moments Bundle and Dylusions Paints.

To make the background, I used my fingers to apply Dylusions Paints (Bubblegum Pink, Fresh Lime, Melted Chocolate, and White Linen). By spritzing with some water and tilting my page around, the colors were able to bleed and blend into eachother. Then I applied white gesso to a polka dot stencil with one of my Bo Bunny Palette Knives.

The banner is made from the Sweet Moments Chipboard, anchored by a couple of buttons from the Ephemera

For the titlework, I used a mix of Noteworthy and sticker banners, adding black and white alpha stickers from the Bo Bunny Forever Young Collection.

I made the pattern myself for the ice cream and cone, piecing it from papers in the 12 X 12 Collection Pack and the Ephemera. To make the cone, I cut a piece of paper at 3 inch by 3 1/2 inches, and actually shaped it into a cone. Then I flattened it out, and made the grid lines with my sewing machine. The edges of the ice cream were colored with Distress Inks, using my Blending Tool with Picked Raspberry on top, Gathered Twigs in the middle, also used on the cone, and Ground Espresso on the bottom. Then I added chocolate sprinkles on top with Bo Bunny Double Dot Mocha Jewels

So indulge yourself with some ice cream today, without the guilt, along with the Bo Bunny Sweet Moments  Collection from FotoBella.

Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss Layout

Summer's here, and so is the new Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com! So I scrapped this photo of my late grandmother, to feature this beautiful, pastel collection.

I love this old photo of her, and extended the ray from the photo, onto the rest of my papers, with my Blending Tool and watered down White Linen Dylusions Paint.

The bigger flowers came in the Noteworthy pack, and the rest were fussy-cut. Then I adhered beads onto the centers with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. I also fussy-cut the leaves, embossed with the Bo Bunny Floral Stamp, using Ranger Verdigris Embossing Powder.

The same Verdigris Embossing Powder was also used on the wood birdcage, after coating it with Bo Bunny White Gesso.

Finally, I added the title using the chipboard Thickers!
