KaiserCraft (Misty Mountains) Birthday Card ~ FotoBella DT

Hello! I'm sharing a quick birthday card that I made using the KaiserCraft Misty Mountains Bundle from FotoBella.com. I received this bundle last Spring, but the colors were perfect for February's birthstone, amethyst, which I just printed and cut out.

To give it lots of sparkle, I used Emerald Creek (Midnight Sky) EP along the card base and around the paper strip, and Ranger's (Rainbow Sparkle) EP to the paper edges. Then I  adhered Prima Marketing Glass Glitter (Pearl) to the torn edges using Ranger's Glossy Accents

Around the sentiment, I embossed Emerald Creek (Silver Sparkle) EP, and added the moon rhinestone from my own stash.

KaiserCraft (Misty Mountains) Choose Happiness Layout ~ FotoBella DT

Do you have a happy place, where all of your worries and fears seem to disappear? Mine has always been the beach. So I found this old photo, and slightly altered the colors in Photoshop, to go with the beautiful new KaiserCraft Misty Mountains Scrapbooking Bundle from FotoBella.com.

Being an Aquarius, I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous, amethyst, "Agate" paper! So I tore some of the edges, and covered them with Prima Marketing Patina Effect Paste (Brass). Then, to really enhance my birthstone, I made it sparkle with Prima Marketing Glass Glitter (Pearl), adhered with Prima Marketing Clear Gesso, applied with one of my Bo Bunny Palette Knives

I also used Clear Gesso as the first step in my stencil work, which matches the design on the background paper. After it dried, I went over it with Distress Crayons, (Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves), and blended the colors with my fingers. Then I used the stencil again, to lightly apply Patina Effect Paste (Brass). The straight edges were colored with Dusty Concord Distress Ink, and finished with hand-stitching done in three colors.

The same exact steps that I did with the stencil work, was also done to the wooden title.

Finally, I placed the circles of bling, one by one, with FotoBella Clear Rhinestones & Half Pearls, dyed with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks (Wild Plum and Stream). By mixing both, I got blue and purple, and applied them with a Q-Tip.

The colors and rhinestone design, were inspired by the gorgeous May moodboard and sketch, at Mixed Media & Art.

KaiserCraft Misty Mountains Layout ~ FotoBella DT

With cool, soothing colors, featuring beautiful floral and geometric patterns, the KaiserCraft Misty Mountains Scrapbooking Bundle isn't just for the mountains! So this time, I made a layout for the FotoBella Design Team, to showcase this gorgeous bundle from FotoBella.com.

To some of the paper edges, I used my Blending Tool, to apply Distress Inks, (Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, and Seedless Preserves), including the blue floral die cuts that I popped up for dimension.

I also used the same Distress Inks to blend onto the punched edges, to create an hombre effect, before adding a couple of border stickers.

For a touch of sparkle, I used a couple of stencils with Bo Bunny's Copper Glitter Paste, to match some of the metal accents in the collection.

KaiserCraft Misty Mountains 2 Pager ~ FotoBella DT

Hello and welcome back! I was so excited to open my new KaiserCraft  Misty Mountains Bundle from FotoBella.com, with all of the purples and blues, not to mention the GORGEOUS papers! So I made a 2 pager as my first project, featuring the papers and diecuts.

My design inspiration was based on the sketch for the April 2 Page Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.

The stickers that spell morning were so old from my own stash, that they lost their stickiness completely, and the glue stick I used to apply them, also wasn't working. Then I remembered getting the Prima Marketing My Prima Planner Glue Pen along with my bundle, and it adhered perfectly!

I did my journaling onto masked notebook paper, blending Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks, to mimic the sunrise.

Have you spotted the major mistake I made on the second page? It wasn't until I was looking at my uploaded photos, when I realized that I adhered the bottom photo upside down. Of course, it also has sheer ribbon, from my own stash, glued to it, along with all of the other diecuts, and was the only copy I had previously printed. I'm sure there's negatives around somewhere, but for now, it is what it is. Lol!
