Four Elements ATC's

The Four Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are represented on my latest set of ATC's, made with Finnabair Moulds, Metallique Waxes, Art Alchemy Paints, and beads!

They came from a deck of regular playing cards, that I covered with white gesso. Once dry, I embossed some stamping with Emerald Creek Boho Blends (Wrought Iron) Embossing Powder.  Then I added some Finnabair Mould pieces and Mini Art Stones, before painting with Art Alchemy Paints. All of the texture was brought out with Metallique Waxes applied with my fingers. I thought (Bronze Age) was perfect to represent the practical Earth signs of Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, shown with the globe stamped with the Stamperia (Around the World) Stamp!

The Air Signs of Gemini, Libra, and like myself, Aquarius, have a curious nature, represented by the moon. I just love the blues and purples against the (Vintage Gold) Metallique Wax!

The energetic Fire Signs of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are shown here, using (Rich Copper) Metallique Wax.

The sensitive Water Signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are represented on the last card using (Old Silver) Metallique Wax. Beads were the last step, along with this broken chain I found awhile back.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week!

Life So Big ATC's ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Some stamps were just made for ATC's, like the Life So Big Unmounted Stamp Set from Red Rubber Designs, featured on this set!

The beautiful, bold color combo came straight from the March Color Challenge at Lindy's Gang, and is my current favorite for the year so far!

This trio was done using three Lindy's Gang Sprays and Embossing Powders. I started by smooshing (Pineapple Paradise, Tibetan Poppy Teal, and Freaky Franken' Lime) Sprays onto white cardstock. Once dry, I did it again.

Besides the Life So Big Stamp, I also embossed the card edges, including the base, with LG (Purely White, Lederhosen Laurel, and Midnight Pewter) Embossing Powders. I used two on each card.

Rhinestones on the butterflies, which I curled up, were the finishing touch! Thanks for looking!

Punch ATC's

Hey everyone! Trying to get my mojo back, and thought ATC's would be a great jump start.

This fun mood board at Double D Challenges with a requirement to use a punch, definitely sparked my creativity!

As soon as I saw this image, I knew I wanted to try out the Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley (Tea in the Garden) Stamp Set that I had previously won, and embossed it with Lindy's Gang (Midnight Pewter) Embossing Powder.

For the punch requirement, I used various Martha Stewart Border Punches (Doily Lace, String Lace, Double Loops) and Deep Edge (Embroidery) Punch cut into strips and adhered onto white cardstock measuring 2 1/2" X 3 1/2". Then I backed it with more white cardstock, that I punched and embossed with Lindy's Gang (Purely White) Embossing Powder.

All of the stamping and background were colored with Lindy's Gang Magical Shakers (Oom Pah Pah Pink, Cuckoo Clock Cardinal, Yodeling Yellow, Lederhosen Laurel, Guten Tag Teal, and Polka Purple).

Lots of fussy-cutting, but so much fun to make! Thanks for looking!

Simple Stories (Simple Vintage Traveler) 2 Pager ~ FotoBella DT

Hello! I'm back to show you how I used these ATC's from a previous post on this 2 pager, featuring the Simple Stories (Simple Vintage Traveler) Collection from FotoBella.com. If you missed it, click here for a step-by-step photo tutorial.

To make the ATC's stand out, I kept the other papers fairly simple with the Simple Stories (Simple Vintage Traveler) Simple Basics Kit, except for the dotted paper that comes in the Collector's Essential Kit. The heart next to the chipboard title, comes in the Collage Bits & Pieces, and was inked around the edges with Distress Ink (Stormy Sky), along with the dotted paper.

I also added some more Washi Tape, a couple of arrow stickers, and the other heart from the Bits and Pieces Package.

     Here's a close-up of one of the ATC's.

Haunted Halloween ATC's ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Hello and happy October! With Halloween approaching, I created some ATC's to feature the Haunted Halloween and Be Scary Cling Mounted Rubber Stamps from Red Rubber Designs.

Each one was smooshed with Distress Inks (Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron, and Wilted Violet) onto white cardstock. Then I applied black gesso to three different stencils to create the stripes, diamonds, and gingham.

All of the stamping was done with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink and embossed with Emerald Creek (Onyx Frost) embossing powder, using the Haunted Halloween and Be Scary Stamps.

After distressing all of the edges, I machine-stitched around them using purple and green threads, and mounted them to black cardstock measuring 2 1/2" X 3 1/2".

The chandelier was the only stamp that wasn't fussy-cut. Then I went over the flames with Stickles (Orange Peel), and used Stickles (Purple) to color the dots on the witch's legs.

Thanks for looking, and stop by Red Rubber Designs for these stamps and more!

Prima Marketing French Riviera ATC's ~ FotoBella DT

Have you tried any of the fabulous pastes from Prima Marketing? There's so many great textures and effects you can add to any project, and they clean up so easily! So I made a set of ATC's with some Patina Effect Paste and Rust Paste Camouflage Set, featuring some French Riviera Stamps and the Shell and Anchor Stencil from FotoBella.com.

I started by coating some playing cards with Heavy White Gesso, and then spraying with Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Spray Stains. With a Dabbing Brush, I applied Patina Effect Paste to the Shell and Anchor Stencil, using all three colors from the set. Then I added sand to the bottom of the shell and anchor cards, with Dusty from the Rust Paste Camouflage Set, and really love the results!

All of the stamping was done with Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink, using the French Riviera 4 X 6 Cling and French Riviera #2 Stamps. I decided NOT to color my stamping, for a black and white effect with the ocean colors, except for a few touches on the card below, that I painted with Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain. Then I popped up some of the fussy-cut pieces for some dimension.

The bubbles were created with the same stencil using white gesso, topped with a coat of Sprinkled Sugar Stickles for some sparkle.

Each card is backed with a piece of torn white cardstock, and the edges colored with Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks. Finally, I hand-stitched the twine to the netting, that I recycled from some fruit.

Thanks for looking, and shop FotoBella.com for these supplies and more!
