Majestic Mountain Mixed Media Frame (Sneak Peek) ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

     Happy Thursday! I'm up on today's Red Rubber Designs Blog with a mixed media frame that I made from a pizza box, featuring the Majestic Mountain Unmounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs!

      I also used the All Things of Nature Stamp for the birds, and the Hope Perches Stamp for the sentiment.

December Birthday Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

     Since Christmas is my husband's favorite holiday, I decided to combine the colors, along with black, for the birthday card that I made for him!

     I was inspired by this sketch from Your Next Stamp, used for the December Card Challenge at Scrapbook.com.

     The main image was stamped and embossed in black using the All Things Of Nature stamp from Red Rubber Designs, onto white cardstock colored with some mists and sprays. For the sentiment I used Sophisticated Sentiments. Then I used the Speckle Background stamp over it, embossed in white, for a snowy effect, which I also used along all of my edges. The rest of the papers, and the snowflake transparency are from Little Yellow Bicycle's Once Upon a Christmas line.

     I'm also entering this into Sweet Stampin' Challenge for the Snow Time theme. Thanks for your visit!

Inspirational #219 ~ Red Rubber Inspirational Team

     Give thanks with Inspirational #219, hosted by Lynda, for Red Rubber Inspirationals! I had a blast making this thank you card for an example!

     My design inspiration came from this awesome sketch #122 at Cardabilities!

     I started by stamping the bird with All things of nature onto a white circle. I colored it with Distress Inks and markers, using water to make the clouds in the background, and adding a small bead for the eye. Then I used the (Well Rounded) TCW stencil with some gesso to create the circles.Taking the colors from the May Card Challenge at Scrapbook.com, I sprayed some mists to it, and then stamped the black splatters with the So Splattered stamp. For the sentiment, I used Savvy Sayings, all from Red Rubber Designs. 

     I finished it up with some machine stitching, and hand-stitching around the circle. I'm also entering this into challenge #97 (Things with wings) at Fashionable Stamping Challenges, and the Mixed Media Card Challenge also with wings for the theme.

Inspirational #114 ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Inspirational #114  is all about Spring, hosted this week by Kendra for Red Rubber Inspirationals. I had fun making this Spring card with some stamps, gesso, mists, and a branch cut from my Cricut Expression (Serenade cartridge).

   I started by misting some light blue cardstock with It's brown, Copper, and Harvest Orange Glimmer Mists.Then I masked the doily with some gesso. Other than the branch and nest, everything else was stamped, starting with the background kraft cardstock with Background Soup stamped around the edges. I used the All things of nature stamp set for the bird on the branch and the eggs. I colored the eggs with Distress Ink (antique linen) and Versa Magic Ink (aquatic splash). The birds that are flying are from the Hope Perches stamp set, and the flowers were stamped from the Blossom Builders set, which can all be found at Red Rubber Designs for really great prices.

    My design inspiration came from this fabulous sketch #96 @ Cardabilities.
