Graphic 45 Gilded Lily Layout ~ FotoBella DT

I'm back with another layout using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Gilded Lily I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella! I really wanted to showcase the chandelier stamp, so I went with this old photo of my husbands grandparents out to dinner.

I created a wall of "wallpapers" and "moldings" with my papers, and embossed the "chair rail" using the Gilded Lily 1 Cling Stamp.  For the lower part of the wall, I used the 6 X 6 Patterns and Solids. I sprayed the upper part with mists, stamped and embossed the chandelier using the Gilded Lily 2 Cling Stamp, and added Scattered Straw Distress Ink to make it glow. I also added little light bulbs to it with Stickles (Cotton Candy Pink).

Since this is for an album for my sister-in-law, I made a pocket for extra photos by backing the photo with kraft cardstock, and hand-stitching around it with a cream and gold thread, for the twist for this month's Sewing Challenge that I host at Scrapbook.com. I made the flap from a piece from the Tags and Pockets, using Distress Ink (Tattered Rose) around the edges.

I started my titlework by layering some of the Ephemera Cards along the left. I spelled "OUT TO"  with the Stickers, and stamped "EAT" onto a piece of Journaling Chipboard, adding the sheer gold ribbon from my own stash. Then I added the little spoon, which is my favorite piece, from the Vintage Charms that have been hand selected exclusively by FotoBella

Grateful For This Day 2 Pager

It felt really good to finish this 2 pager for a family album I've been working on for my sister-in-law! These vintage photos of her and my husband's grandparents start with their wedding photo, which I centered in the fussy cut circle. The other photos are through the years celebrating their anniversary. I cut strips from the places and dates that were already written and labeled along with the photos, inking the edges with Distress Ink.

On the left side of the circle I included the wedding booklet that has their marriage certificate inside, along with a small envelope of rice. I didn't want to glue the book down, so I sewed some corner holders out of sheer, pink ribbon to hold it in. I used Bo Bunny's Floral Stamp to make the flowers, coloring them with Distress Inks to match the ones on the book. I got my design inspiration from the May 2 Page Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook. com. using papers by Bo Bunny's The Avenues from FotoBella.

I fussy cut the bottom edge of the blue (Trellis)  paper and added some pearls to the ends.

Thanks for your visit!

A Proper Vintage Gentleman

Hello and happy Tuesday! I just finished this page I made for my Dad, of his Dad with his 1937 Studebaker. I'll be giving it to him this Sunday for Father's Day.

This is also my entry for the Graphic 45 challenge at Scrapbook.com. I used one of their older lines, "A proper gentleman collection", which I've been hoarding ever since it came out. It felt good to finally use some of it!I started by masking the edges with black soot distress ink and my mini gears template from The Crafter's Workshop. I used some sandpaper at an angle to distress the black Core'dination's cardstock.

I did a lot of fussy cutting on this page, including the key, which was stamped and embossed first.

I love this chipboard vintage car, which I got as a RAK from Funtoolas! Thanks Cindy! I inked it first and then used distress embossing powder on it. I  used a clear transparency, which I inked with butterscotch alcohol ink, to make the windows. I made the red flower using my Tattered and Torn Flower Tutorial.

The wood tag was also a RAK that I got a long time ago from (puppet). Thanks Krista! I used antique linen reinker to distress it, along with a touch of black soot Distress Ink. And I can't forget Anna for giving me some awesome stamps, one of which I used for the photo corner. I embossed it using aged mahogany Distress Embossing Powder. So thank you Anna!!
And thank YOU for stopping by!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!!! I know there's lot of scrappy stuff going on today, but if you get a chance, come join us at Birds of a Feather for our Flock Together Crop.
I'm hosting A Celebration of Earth Challenge, which is all about recycling. For my example I scrapped this old photo of my Great Grandma's, Grandma.
I inked and embossed the cardboard around the stamped clock, and then glued some small beads to it. The key was also embossed and started out shiny silver.
I also recycled the silver rusted brackets that are laced with the leather strip that was originally tied to some suede napkins.
The beautiful butterflies were a RAK from Renea Bouquets! Thanks so much Renea!!
I stamped, inked, and embossed all of the flowers using scraps.
