Boo Tag ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Halloween is just a few days away, so I'm sharing this tag made from Graphic 45's "An Eerie Tale" Collection, featuring the Boo Dollar Rubber Stamp Set from Red Rubber Designs!

I made the ghost from cheesecloth with watered down Prima Clear Gesso that I applied to a blown up rubber glove to give it some shape. Once dry, I cut out the mouth and eyes from the "Unsolved Mystery" paper.

The Ranger Ink Manila Tag was sprayed with Valencia Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, and smooshed with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink. Then I tore the "Boo" definition from an old dictionary, and covered it and the tag with Tim Holtz' Vintage Distress Collage Medium. Once that was dry, I sprayed it with "Walnut Stain" Distress Spray Stain and Lindy's Stamp Gang "Mission Bells Brown" Starburst Spray. Above the definition I used the Boo Dollar Rubber Stamp Set from Red Rubber Designs inked with Ranger's Archival Jet Black Ink.

I used Deco Art Renaissance Brown Metallic Glaze to paint around the striped "Enchantment" paper, the circle on the tag, and around the vintage image that I popped up from the "Fanciful Fable" paper. Then I fussy cut and added the pumpkin and bats, curling up the leaves and bat wings for some dimension.

Have a spooktacular and safe Halloween!

Holiday Collage Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Happy Thursday! I made my first holiday card of the season combining some wonderful Winter & Christmas Rubber Stamps from Red Rubber Designs!

Taking my inspiration from Sketch #3 for the October Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com, I decided to go horizontal with my card, making the stamped reindeer my focal point by popping it up.

I was also inspired by the beautiful October Mood Board no.79 at Scrap Africa with the snow covered trees and muted colors!

The background was smooshed with some Distress Inks, with a light splatter of Lindy's Stamp Gang Sidewalk Chalk spray. Then I stamped the trees and mountains with the Mountain Scenery Unmounted Cling Rubber Stamp, going over it with some watered down white paint, and embossing the falling snow with the Speckle Background stamp. The script and sentiment were stamped with the Vintage Santa stamp set, which is one my favorite holiday stamps!

I used the Holiday Collages Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp for my reindeer, colored with Distress Inks, and applied some Clear Wink of Stella onto the frame. Then I used some Artists Tape to mask the frame, and embossed some more snow again with the Speckle Background stamp, adding a sparkly brad in the corner.

I also embossed some "snow" along the right side of my card using the So Splattered Cling Mounted Stamp. Then I finished it off with some machine stitching and a sprig of holly.

     Thanks for stopping by!

Fantastic Fall Layout ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Crisp leaves with beautiful changing colors is just one of the many reasons why I love Fall so much! This layout features the Luscious Leaves Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs made into a wreath.

As soon as I saw this fabulous sketch @ The Studio Challenges, I knew it would be perfect for my photo!

I started by masking some circle reinforcement labels sprayed with Hag's Wart Orange, Cajun Carnelian Red, Mission Bells Brown, Black Orchid Silver, and Blazing Black from Lindy's Stamp Gang, based on the October Color Challenge

Then I applied Prima Black Gesso onto the Well Rounded Stencil from TCW to create the other circles.

I stamped the title and background along the right side with the Autumn Swirls Unmounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, embossed with Lindy's Midnight Copper Obsidian Embossing Powder. The tag was cut from kraft cardstock, covered with Prima Clear Gesso, and sprayed with Yellow Rose of Texas , Misson Bells Brown, and Hag's Wart Orange. I finished it up with machine stitching, tied off with some copper and rust fibers.

To make the wreath, I did a lot of fussy cutting, stamping my leaves with the Luscious Leaves Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp , embossed with Lindy's Midnight Pewter Embossing Powder onto various colors of cardstock colored with Hag's Wart Orange, Mission Bells Brown, and Cajun Carnelian Red sprays. Then I hand-stitched the circle with black and orange embroidery thread for this months twist in the Sewing Challenge that I host @ Scrapbook. com

Spiders Are Seen Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

What's spookier than a vase full of spiders? This Halloween card features the Spiders Are Seen Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs.

My design inspiration came from the October Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com, using sketch #1.

I colored all of my backgrounds with Distress Inks and water. The stamping was done using a permanent black ink, and embossed with Ranger's Rainbow Sparkle Embossing Powder, including the fun sentiment.

For even more sparkle, I applied Purple Stickles to the black, square brads, which have been in my stash for a very long time. It always feel great to use up those old supplies!

I colored the lace with inks and sprays, using two strips on top of each other to show the scalloped edge, and making it twice as wide. Then I  used some purple ribbon across the center of it, hiding the line of the original square, spider wed stamp, which I stamped twice, to give it more length. Finally I popped up my image after hand-stitching a circle around it, and using Clear Wink Of Stella on the swirly parts of the vase. The Be Scary Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp also has this image, and can be found at Red Rubber Designs, with a fabulous selection of other Autumn & Halloween Cling Mounted Stamps.

Thanks so much for your visit!

Bon Voyage Card ~ FotoBella DT

Did you participate in World Card Making Day? I made this card for FotoBella Design Team, using My Mind's Eye Hello World Journal Cards, Enamel Shapes, Stickers, and Rub-ons from FotoBella.com.

I took my design inspiration from this sketch, used for the September Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.

To make the pattern on the kraft background, I inked a strip of drywall tape with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, sprayed it with water, and pressed down, repeating the process for full coverage.

I used a combination of Stickers and Rub-ons for the titlework, and finished my card up with hand-stitching.

For some more inspiration, and to see what the rest of the team made, visit the FotoBella Blog!
