KaiserCraft (Misty Mountains) Birthday Card ~ FotoBella DT

Hello! I'm sharing a quick birthday card that I made using the KaiserCraft Misty Mountains Bundle from FotoBella.com. I received this bundle last Spring, but the colors were perfect for February's birthstone, amethyst, which I just printed and cut out.

To give it lots of sparkle, I used Emerald Creek (Midnight Sky) EP along the card base and around the paper strip, and Ranger's (Rainbow Sparkle) EP to the paper edges. Then I  adhered Prima Marketing Glass Glitter (Pearl) to the torn edges using Ranger's Glossy Accents

Around the sentiment, I embossed Emerald Creek (Silver Sparkle) EP, and added the moon rhinestone from my own stash.

Thanks for looking and get the KaiserCraft (Misty Mountains Scrapbooking Bundle) at FotoBella.com!

Be Always Blooming ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Hello! I'm back with another art journal page featuring the Beautiful Butterflies Cling Mounted Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, and the Iris Fantasy download from their digital shop, Pickled Potpourri Designs

I started by creating texture to the background with some cheesecloth, strips of lace, and some fiber adhered with a coat of clear gesso. Then I applied my new Prima Unicorn Effect Paste to the Stamperia Wonderland Stencil, before coloring with my Lindy's Gang Sprays (Blue Hawaiian Blue, and Ocean Breeze Blue), Magical (Sassy Sapphire), and Magical Shaker (Guten Tag Teal).

The Tim Holtz chipboard flourish was coated with Prima White Gesso, and colored with Lindy's Magical Shakers (Guten Tag Teal and Polka Purple) along with Blue Hawaiian Blue Spray. Then I really made it sparkle with Unicorn Effect Paste, which I absolutely LOVE!

I also applied Unicorn Effect Paste to the Beautiful Butterflies, embossed with Lindy's Midnight Violet Embossing Powder! Can you see the beautiful chunks of glitter?

I used Midnight Violet Embossing Powder over some old black alpha stickers to spell ALWAYS, and Angel Wings Peacock for BE and BLOOMING.

The flowers, Iris Fantasy, were colored with Lindy's Magical Shakers (Guten Tag Teal and Polka Purple), along with Blue Hawaiian Blue and Witch's Potion Purple, also used on the butterflies. Then I gave the flowers some sparkle with Lavender Stickles, and the leaves with Eucalyptus Stickles.

Thanks for looking!

Rain Art Journal ~ FotoBella DT

Hello! Today I'm sharing an art journal page featuring  this fabulous silhouette that I found online, and looking very familiar, for the FotoBella Design Team!

The background was colored with Lindy's Gang Magical Shakers, after using a plastic fork with Prima Marketing White Gesso to create rain. Then I applied some Prima Marketing Metallique Wax (Old Silver) over the rain, followed with a coat of Silver Stickles, for some more sparkle. The large star was made with Bo Bunny Silver Stencil Paste, using an old chipboard cutout as a stencil. It also got a coat of Silver Stickles

The other stars came from an older Bo Bunny Bundle (Forever Young), embossed with Ranger's (Rainbow Sparkle) Embossing Powder. Then I used an older Tim Holtz stamp with the filmstrips, embossed onto clear transparency paper, and adhered with Glossy Accents.

I also used clear transparency paper to print the umbrella, and embossed it with Emerald Creek (Kettle Copper) Embossing Powder. Then I hung stars from it with the Bo Bunny Oh My Stars Stickable Stencil, using Bo Bunny Stencil Paste (Gold), also applied with a plastic fork underneath to create more rain, and coated with Stickles (Golden Rod).

The image was fussy-cut, embossed with Emerald Creek (Black Cherry) Aroma Embossing Powder, and also got the fork technique. Then I made a cape for her with a recycled fruit bag, which I also coated with Stickles

The quote was stamped and embossed, and was my inspiration for this page.

Finally, I used some Prima Marketing brick and fence stamps along the bottom, also embossed with EC (Black Cherry) Embossing Powder.

Thanks for looking, and take a peek at all of the New Goodies arriving at FotoBella.com

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I had fun with these hearts, on this card that I made for my husband!

I cut the hearts from white cardstock, and applied black gesso to a couple of gear stencils. Then I added some metal Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears, and also gave them a light coat of black gesso.

The large heart was colored with Distress Spray Stain (Candied Apple Red). Then I added some Prima Waxes (Brushed Iron and Old Silver) to the black gesso. Wanting more texture I used my stencils again to emboss the hearts with Emerald Creek ((Rocky Road) Baked Texture and (Mirror Platinum) Embossing Powder, also used on the stamped chicken wire. For the sentiment I used Ranger Mixed Media Powder (Bone).

Thanks for looking!

Cupid Valentine's Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Have you made your Valentine's cards yet? I combined rubber and digital stamping on this card that I made for my son.

The cupid heart was downloaded and printed from the new Pickled Potpourri Designs shop on Etsy, using the Vintage Heart Collages Digital Stamp. After cutting it from white cardstock, I gave it a coat of Lindy's Gang (Angel Wings Gold) Embossing Powder.

The rest of the stamping was done with my rubber stamps from Red Rubber Designs, starting with the script on the background, using the Beauty of a Woman Unmounted Rubber Stamp. Then I colored it with some Lindy's Sprays (Cafe au Lait and Blazing Sun), creating a shadow behind the heart with (Black Orchid Silver) and Stickles (Black Diamond), and making clouds from cotton balls. The sentiment was embossed with the Contemporary Greetings Stamp, and the small hearts with the I Heart You Stamp.

Finally, the arrows were embossed using the Elegant Arrows Cling Mounted Stamp onto cream cardstock, with Emerald Creek (Black Cherry) Embossing Powder, also used with the other stamps and card base.

Cold as Ice

Do you know your birthstone? Mine is the beautiful amethyst, for February, which inspired this art journal page.

I started by applying white gesso directly to the Tim Holtz Shatter and Mini Birch Stencils onto a piece of scrap paper, and then using them as a stamp to create the cracks and trees. Then I colored the background with Lindy's Gang Sprays (Black Orchid Silver and Brushed Nickel), and my new Magical Shakers (Frozen Jack Frost and Polka Purple), which is the perfect shade for amethyst!

"Cold" was some very old ghost letters that I had, in which I had to cut a "d" to get my "C". Then I colored the edges with Alcohol Inks that I combined to get purple (Stream and Wild Plum). Since I only had the center of the "O", I outlined the rest of it with a silver pen, along with the rest of the title, after masking it with Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke).

The image was transferred from a magazine, using Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel, and was the first time I tried this technique. As I started rubbing it off with water, I didn't realize it was working, since the colors blended into my background, so it tore along the right. But in this case it worked for me, since it looks like snow. Lol!

The flower was embossed with Lindy's Gang (Purely White) Embossing Powder, and the dies were scraps that I had leftover, cut with my Cricut Expression, and covered with Prima Snowflake Paste.

I also embossed more cracks with the Bo Bunny (Rough it Up) Stamp using Lindy's (Queen Sheba's Silver) Embossing Powder. Then I adhered Prima's Frosted Mica Flakes with Glossy Accents, and printed the amethysts from various sites.

Thanks for looking, and if you're interested, I started a new monthly Art Journaling Challenge at Scrapbook.com, and the twist this month is all about your birthstone. Hope to see you there!

Graphic 45 (Penny's Paper Doll Family) Art Journal ~ FotoBella DT

Hello and Happy February! I'm back with my latest project using the Graphic 45 (Penny's Paper Doll Family) collection from FotoBella.com. I wanted to feature Penny and her family, so I brought out my art journal to create this spread.

This collection has a lot of border pieces on the papers and sticker sheet, which I pieced together to make a frame around both pages, rubbing the edges with Prima Marketing Metallique Waxes (Bronze Age and Vintage Gold).

The background is made from torn pieces of paper and tissue from a sewing pattern, adhered with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. Then I added some Distress Spray Stains (Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, and Worn Lipstick).

I cut slits in the hats right below the brims, with an X-acto knife, before gluing to their heads.

     Lots of fussy-cutting!

Little sister Emily is the only one without a hat!

Since Penny's the star of this collection, I included two of her outfits (the blue and red dresses and hats).

Thanks for looking and shop Graphic 45 by collection at FotoBella.com!
