Peace Hope Love Tag ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Hello and Happy Holidays! Unfortunately, due to chronic pain, and arthritis that's been in overdrive lately, I wasn't able to make Christmas cards this year like I usually do, but did manage to make this tag conveying Peace, Hope, and Love to all of my family, friends, and followers this 2020, and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Most of my inspiration came from the beautiful December Mood Board at Art Daily Cafe

I started by adhering a white napkin to a Dina Wakley Mixed Media tag using Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. Then I stamped the Holiday Collages Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, to some torn pieces of white tissue using a permanent grey ink, and adhered those as well, along with some Finnabair Texture Paste (Platinum Crackle). Once dry, I painted it all using Finnabair Art Alchemy Sparks Paints (Butterfly Spells and Ginger Magic), mixed with Metalliques (White Pearl and Silver Spoon).

Embossing the Oh Christmas Trees came next, using Emerald Creek (Silver Sparkle) Embossing Powder, and giving them snow caps with Emerald Creek (Soft Fallen Snow) Embossing Powder, also used to emboss the falling snow with the Speckle Background Stamp. To bring out the reindeer from the Holiday Collages Stamp that I previously stamped onto tissue paper, I embossed one using Emerald Creek (Silver Sparkle) EP along with the angel on the top of the tag, which you can see in the second to next photo.

The white trees were done with the Tim Holtz (Mini Woodland) Stencil and Prima Marketing White Gesso, using a palette knife to create texture. Then I made them sparkle with Finnabair Unicorn Effect Paste, which I absolutely LOVE!! To top them off, I added some stars made from paper clay with the Finnabair (Stars and Moons) Mould, and embossed them using EC (Silver Sparkle) EP again.

The same mould was also used for the moon, made from paper clay, and given a coat of Finnabair Texture Paste (Platinum Crackle) before painting with Finnabair Art Alchemy Metalliques (Silver Spoon and White Pearl), and finishing with some touches of Art Alchemy Metallique Waxes (Old Silver and Brushed Iron). I cut the wing myself from heavy kraft stock, using the leftover Tim Holtz Grungeboard as a stencil. Then I coated it with Prima Marketing White Gesso, and waited for it to dry, before adding the magical Finnabair Unicorn Effect Paste.

The phrase was embossed with the Thankful For You Stamp from Red Rubber Designs

Finally, I finished it up with a strand of clear beads along the bottom. Thanks for looking!

Beach Shaker Window

Hello again! When I think of what I want to see outside of my window, it's the beach. So I created a shaker window made from leftover clear packaging from some Petaloo flowers, framed with strips of heavy kraft board.

The colors were inspired by the Lindy's Gang November Color Challenge, which is my favorite combo from the year so far!

I wanted to make a faux distressed wood frame, so I applied white gesso to the Tim Holtz (Woodgrain) Stencil onto mitered strips of heavy kraft board, after coating them with clear gesso. Then I colored them with Squirts (Beaver Tail Brown) and Magical Shakers (Lederhosen Laurel, Yodeling Yellow, and Guten Tag Teal). If your mitered edges don't exactly line up, like mine, just add gesso to the back until it fills up any cracks you might have, and paint over it.

Leaving nothing to waste, I used the cardboard backing from the Petaloo packaging to create the background, made from torn dictionary pages, cheesecloth, and brown paper napkins, adhered with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. After coating it all with clear gesso, and touches of white gesso, I painted it with LG Magical Shaker (Guten Tag Teal) and Sprays (Treasure Island Aqua and Cafe au Lait). Then I applied white gesso to a TCW Stencil to make the waves, embossed with LG Embossing Powder (Purely White).

The die cut palm trees also got a coat of clear gesso, along with some cheesecloth added to the trunks. Then I combined Magical Shakers (Lederhosen Laurel and Yodeling Yellow) to paint the palm fronds, and Squirts (Beaver Tail Brown) for the trunks.

To create more texture, I added a strip of burlap for the fence, and Prima Marketing Camouflage Paste (Dusty) for the sand. For the shaker element, I added some small shells and Prima Marketing Mica Flakes (Frosted).

Thanks for looking!

3rd Birthday Card

Happy weekend! My nephew just celebrated his 3rd birthday, so I whipped up this card for him at the last minute. Lol!

I used the Stamperia Clock and Mechanisms Stencil to create the gears using Prima Marketing Black Gesso. Then I heat embossed Emerald Creek (Hammered Metal) Embossing Powder on top.

The 3 was also done with Black Gesso using the Tim Holtz (Numbered) Stencil, and heat embossed with Tim Holtz Mixed Media Powder (Scarlet). For the sentiment, I used Emerald Creek (Black Cherry) Embossing Powder.

I finished it up with some (Black Soot) Distress Ink, and the tractor Jollie's Sticker that's been in my stash forever. Thanks for looking!

Graduation Cap Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Hi everyone! Today I have a graduation cap card to share, with some embossed stamping featuring the Victorian Vines Background Unmounted Stamp from Red Rubber Designs!

It's made from black cardstock and measures 6" x 6", with embossing done with Lindy's Gang (Midnight Violet) Embossing Powder using the Victorian Vines Background Stamp. Then I lightly went over it with Prima Marketing (Old Silver) Wax, giving it a two tone effect, which is kinda hard to see in the photos.

I added a rhinestone brad to the center with a tassel hanging from it, made from purple embroidery thread.

Finally, I made it pop with this tutorial, and embossed my sentiment with the Chicken Scratch Stamp.

     Thanks for looking!

Prima Marketing Golden Coast Art Journal ~ FotoBella DT

Have you seen the beautiful Prima Marketing Golden Coast 8 X 8 Essentials Bundle from FotoBella.com? I made an art journal page to showcase this fabulous collection, in addition to one of the ATC's I previously made with it.

I started by adding scraps from the Golden Coast 8 X 8 Paper Pad, and spraying them and the background with Distress Spray Stains (Blueprint Sketch and Broken China), along with Lindy's Gang Spray (Tiffany's Blue).

Taking inspiration from the DREAM ATC, I embossed more netting with the Prima Finnabair Net & Wire Stamp using Ranger Distress Embossing Powder (Brushed Corduroy).

     Added some Chipboard Stickers.

And finished it up with Prima flowers and greenery (Camarillo and Sunset Beach)!

Unfortunately this is my last post for the FotoBella Design Team Team, due to worsening chronic health issues. I'll still be creating, but at a much slower pace. Thanks for your visit and support!

Prima Marketing Golden Coast Mini Album ~ FotoBella DT

Hey everyone! I'm back with this mini album made from small paper bags, featuring the Prima Marketing Golden Coast 8 X 8 Essentials Bundle from FotoBella.com. It's been years since I made one, but this beautiful, beachy collection was perfect to highlight my last trip to California. Looking forward to going back in a couple of months!

The sand was created with the Dusty jar from the Prima Marketing Rust Paste Camouflage Set.

I just love the texture, and added some small shells among the flowers and chipboard pieces!

All of the paper edges were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, including one of the Journaling Notecards peeking out of the pocket on the left.

The wood planks were stamped with the Prima Marketing Old Town Stamp using Archival Ink (Potting Soil).

Then I added the ship's wheel and some screws made from paper clay using the Finnabair Mechanica Mould. They started out with a coat of Dylusions Paint (Ground Coffee), followed by Art Alchemy Paints (Rustic Brown and Magical Pond), and finished with touches of Prima Marketing Patina Effect Paste (Blue).

Some of the flowers and leaves got the golden touch with (Vintage Gold) Prima Marketing Wax.

I didn't mind trimming down the papers from the 8 X 8 Paper Pad to fit this 6" X 6" album.

Thanks for looking, and shop FotoBella.com to get the Prima Marketing Golden Coast 8 X 8 Essentials Bundle

Every Leaf Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Today is not only the first day of Fall, (which is my favorite season), but also my sister's birthday. So I made her a card featuring the Every Leaf Unmounted Stamp from Red Rubber Designs.

I painted the background, leaves, and around the card base with Dylusion's Paints, spritzing the background with water to create an ombre effect. The small and large leaves are both included in the Every Leaf Stamp.

All of the embossing was done with Emerald Creek (Burnt Copper Leaves) Embossing Powder, including the medallion.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped with the Sophisticated Sentiments Stamp.

Thanks for looking, and enjoy the Fall!
