Celtic Thank You Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Happy weekend! I just got done using the Celtic Images stamp, from Red Rubber Designs, to make this St. Patrick's Day/Thank You card for my Sister and Irish Brother-in-law. Hopefully they're not reading this, as I haven't sent it out yet. Lol!

My design inspiration came from this beautiful sketch # 139 @ Feeling Sketchy!

And my color inspiration came from this gorgeous color combo for the Feb. Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.

I started by spritzing and smooshing some sprays and Distress Inks onto white cardstock, for the Splatter, Spritz, and Smoosh Challenge @ Stamps and Stencils. Then I embossed the Celtic cross, Thank You, and edges of the card and tag, with Lindy's Stamp Gang (Queen Sheba's Silver) embossing powder. The four leaf clovers were stamped with Giverney Green Palette Ink and colored with Distress Ink (Lucky Clover). For a little sparkle, I applied a Wink Of Stella (Clear) to them, along with the cross.

Half of the rose was sprayed, then covered with Eucalyptus Stickles, which I also used randomly on the background. After making the pleat in the corner, by wetting it first with water, which I also did for the edges, I added some machine stitching using two different greens. Then I sprinkled the card with some buttons, using different colors of threads to attach them.

After some more spritzing and smooshing to make the tag, I added a silver eyelet, and tied it off with some green ribbons.

Bo Bunny Altitude Layout And Sketch ~ FotoBella DT

Following the four year drought here in the Sierra's, it really has been SNOW wonderful to finally see snow again! Here's a page that I scrapped using Bo Bunny's Altitude I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.

I took my design inspiration from this awesome Bo Bunny sketch for this month's challenge!

The background was stamped and embossed with a glitter embossing powder to create the small dots and snowflakes. Then I applied gesso and Glitter Paste (Sugar) to the Ranger Dot Fade Stencil and TCW (Texturized) Stencil along the top and bottom of my page. After drying, I colored some of the texture with LSG Sprays and Magicals. Then I tore into my paper and applied Snow-Tex to the edges, along with the fussy-cut snowflakes that I also added Glitter Paste Sugar) to, finishing it up with some bling in the centers. The Glitter Paste was also added to all of the Buttons, as well as the additional buttons I took from the Ephemera

I made the top banner by applying Broken China Distress Ink over the top of the SNOW letters that I got from the Layered Chipboard. To give it some sparkle I used some more Glitter Paste again over the letters, and hand stitched across the top. I used a Wink Of Stella (Clear) over the alpha stickers that come in the 12 X 12 Collection Pack, to spell WONDERFUL over the vellum banner that I created using a banner from the Noteworthy pack as a stencil. Then I did some machine stitching over the top, which is a great way to attach vellum!

The frames around and under my photo also come in the Noteworthy pack, and I added this gorgeous Prima flower to the corner!

Here's a closer look at the tag that I made from the grey paper found in the Ephemera, where I added some more Snow-Tex and Snowflakes tied off with some white fibers.

Elephant Layout ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

My favorite animal is the elephant, so when I saw this month's mood board at Lindy's Stamp Gang, I knew immediately I was going to scrap this old photo, which doesn't look as old anymore since I fussy cut the background!

I was also inspired by these vibrant colors, and of course my Red Rubber Design stamps!

These older Tim Holtz (Lost and Found) papers were the perfect backdrop for the elephant and background, using this beautiful sketch from Scrap Africa.

I used various stencils with gesso to create all of the splats on the background. Then I colored them with Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays and Magicals. To make the doily, I mixed my Magicals with some white gesso, and applied it with a stencil onto black cardstock. The colors are so vibrant that I didn't even need to go over them! To make the lighter green, I mixed Bling-y Blonde and Drop Dead Gorgeous Green from the Drop Dead Diva Set. Then I used the For Everything stamp on the floral paper and background.

The flowers were made from white cardstock using my Wild Fire Flower Tutorial, but colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays and Magicals, instead of Distress Inks.

Then I stamped Bold Flourishes under the flowers with black ink, and colored them again with LSG Sprays and Magicals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous Framed Faux Mirror ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

This fabulous little mirror was inspired by those old, vintage mirrors that are all scratched up and discolored! I have a full tutorial on how to make it yourself on the Red Rubber Blog, along with some photos of the tag where I placed it.

Here's a peek at my tag, featuring the following stamps from Red Rubber Designs
