Bingo Birthday Card ~ Red Rubber Designs DT

Happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing the birthday card that I made for my dad, using mixed media and some fun stamps from Red Rubber Designs!

I started by lightly coating the background with white gesso. and stamping the Bingo Pieces and Background Soup Cling Mounted Stamps with permanent black ink. Then I glued down some buttons and covered them and the background with a heavier coat of gesso. After waiting for it to dry, and coloring it with Distress Spray Stains, I realized that I had covered a lot of my stamping. So I re-stamped the Bingo Pieces onto white tissue paper, and applied it over the buttons with Tim Holtz' Distress Collage Medium Vintage. Then I embossed copper along the edges and button rims.

I just used the numbers from the Bingo Card, and colored it with Distress Inks. The brown strip from the DCVW 8 X 8 Neutrals Cardstock Stack was colored with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and embossed with copper using the Sophisticated Sentiments Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set.

The compass was paper pieced and stamped with the Every Road Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set, embossed again with copper, including the small brad in the center. Then I backed all of my pieces with some recycled netting. Thanks for looking!
