Did you ever play with paper dolls as a kid? I sure did! So the Graphic 45 (Penny's Paper Doll Family) collection from FotoBella.com took me back to my childhood, with vintage paper dolls and beautiful papers, that I assembled into a quilt design, on this page that I scrapped of my dad and his siblings. My dad is the one in the middle with the bow tie. Aren't they all (Sew) cute?
All of the squares were cut at 2", and the edges rubbed with Prima Marketing Metallique Wax (Bronze Age). Then I added gold machine stitching, and some old buttons that I had from my late grandma, and great-grandma. The stitching on the buttons came from them, so I left the others alone.
The tape measure also came from one of my grandma's, and was the perfect addition to this collection! Then I found some old chipboard for my title, and added Metallique Wax (Vintage Gold) to the edges.
The same wax was also used on the flower from my stash, and the edges of the chipboard button.
All five paper dolls were fussy-cut to represent each kid.
I love the little dresses and hats!
And let's not forget about the boys!
