Go Red For Women ~ FotoBella DT

Are you wearing red today? It's National Wear Red Day, so I created another page in my art journal honoring women for the FotoBella Design Team.

The dress and background were painted with Dylusions Paints (Postbox Red, Cherry Pie, and Pomegranate Seed) using a baby wipe. Then I used the Tim Holtz Fade Dot Stencil with a Blending Tool and Ranger's Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder to give the illusion of  twinkling lights.

The heart was cut from white cardstock and stamped with Prima's Garden Fable Stamp using Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink. Then I masked RED with my old Tim Holtz Alphabet Mask, sprayed it with Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain, and embossed the edges in gold.

Then I did some paper piecing to create this fabulous dress using my Julie Nutting Lorena Doll Stamp. Her skin was colored with a marker, with some mist on her cheeks, and her hair colored with Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stains. Then I ruffled some sheer ribbon along the bottom of her dress, and created a shawl using the ribbon symbol.

The final touch was embossing some gold heart earrings using the Bo Bunny Stitches Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by, and stop by FotoBella to shop by color for all of your RED needs!
