Spring Flowers Tag

      Nothing says Spring like a field full of blooming flowers, which I tried to replicate on this tag made from stamps and Lindy's Gang products!

     Most of my inspiration came from the beautiful photo and colors used for the March Color Challenge @ Lindy's Gang. 

  

     I started by coating a Ranger Manila Tag with Prima Heavy White Gesso. Then I sprinkled with some Magical Powders (Sassy Sapphire, Drop Dead Gorgeous Green, and Greased Lightnin' Green), and sprayed with water, to create the background sky and grass. All of the stamping was done on white cardstock with Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink, and colored with Magical Powders (every color from the Drop Dead Diva Shimmer Set) and Sprays (Pineapple Paradise, Cathedral Pines Green, Ponderosa Pines Olive, and Witch's Potion Purple). 

     

     Along the edges of the tag and the hole on top, I applied Reindeer Moss Green Embossing Powder. I backed it with white cardstock, colored with Hi Maintenance Magenta and Prima Donna Purple Magicals, and embossed the dots and edges with Purely White Embossing Powder.

     I also used Hi Maintenance Magenta and Prima Donna Purple Magicals to dye the ribbon, leaving the top ends alone to give it an hombre effect. Since I had already fussy-cut all of my flowers, and these ones were left over, I decided to bundle them on top, and use them anyway.
