I'm hosting this week at Red Rubber Inspirationals, with Inspirational #125 ~ to emboss your stamping! I did a lot of that on this vintage layout that I made of my late, Great Grandmother.
I took my inspiration from this beautiful Page Drafts sketch, with a focus on blooms and foliage.
I was also inspired by this fabulous mood board that Denise came up with at Flying Unicorn for the Mood Board Challenge.
I used Palette Ink (Burnt Sienna) to stamp the Victorian Vines Background onto the banners, which I misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays onto white cardstock. I used the same ink to stamp the date using Mini-Bet. The title was embossed with Distress Embossing Powder (Walnut Stain) using Distressed Typewriter Bet.
For the small flowers I used white embossing powder using Pressed Flowers. The rest of the embossing was done with Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo) to emboss the tag with Reinforcers, the sunflowers using Nothing is Better, and for the flourishes which were embossed onto light blue vellum using Bold Flourishes. I also embossed the brads on the small flowers, and the eyelets using Distress Embossing Powder ( Broken China).
I used rope inked with Palette Ink (Burnt Sienna) to lace up the eyelets. I finished it up with some machine stitching.
Thanks for looking!
